Job Description for Design for Automation Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Role

• Carries out  wiring harness (wh) product architecture studies for various customers on E/E architectures and its related components to improve the product design for automation. This includes the development of concepts for individual components.

• Support of development of architecture alternatives e.g. of autonomous driving in terms of automation friendliness.

• Participation on workgroups with the focus on wh product automation

• Optimize the APTIV development process for wh automation studies

• Carries out customer specific project documentation and presentations with the team.

• Leads, organizes, moderates  and documents projects and meetings

• Close collaboration with the customers and internal functions of wiring harness (EDS) , connection system (CS), electronics (ASUX) teams.

Your Background

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronic or equivalent

• Good wiring harness systems engineering, architecture or product engineering skills

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Linguistic proficiency, English mandatory, German preferred

• Professional in Microsoft Excel & Power Point and wiring harness engineering tools

• At least 5 years’ experience in automotive industry
