As the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM), you will drive the planning and implementation activities of IT-enabled initiatives within Supply Chain Management. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of assigned information technology strategy, roadmap, and solution delivery projects within the Supply Chain Management area. You will interface with business leaders, IT program managers, architects, portfolio planners, and analysts providing a rich, diversified and global work environment.

Your Role

  • Own the relationship between IT and business project owners in Supply Chain Management – with a strong focus on Sourcing
  • Schedule regular meetings with client leadership with stated objectives and outcomes
  • Ensure alignment on objectives and awareness of results
  • Develop an understanding of the strategic direction of the business areas. Identify opportunities and make actionable recommendations to support the desired future state
  • Support the development of IT financial forecasts and budget plans as required in conjunction with the Supply Chain Business Budget
  • Deliver key enterprise IT initiatives  (e.g., use and value of common systems, application rationalization, compliance with cyber security requirements)
  • Collaborate with enterprise, division, and business unit teams to develop an “integrated functional Supply Chain strategy and roadmap” for the stated functions
  • Support the top-down and bottom-up effort to create a business-IT-aligned regional portfolio of IT initiatives with cost estimates and quantifiable business benefits
  • Provide timely input on prioritization of IT initiatives based on organizational needs/strategy, IT workload, and budget.
  • Create business cases for IT portfolio appropriation requests jointly with business leaders and business unit finance.
  • Execute the IT roadmap for Supply Chain via proactive portfolio planning and driving-related programs and projects.
  • Drive solution selection and implementation for assigned business systems.
  • Support the RFI, RFP, sourcing, and negotiation of applicable enterprise license agreements and IT contracts as required
  • Work with business functional leaders to develop requirements and business cases for IT initiatives by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partners
  • Act as an advocate of business requirements ensuring that the business need is addressed by the technical solution being delivered
  • Ensure that project investments are consistent with global IT Supply Chain strategy, roadmaps, and timelines
  • Proactively manage IT Supply Chain portfolio and operating costs within the target
  • Keep sponsors, business partners, and IT stakeholders informed on the progress of projects, production incidents, issues, risks, and financials to ensure transparency, business input, and collaborative decision-making
  • Maintain awareness of current and future direction of industry peers and technology partners, and where appropriate, make recommendations for new/upgraded systems and technologies

Your Background

  • 5+ years of IT experience, Technical knowledge, roadmap development & an understanding of the IT landscape
  • Knowledge / Experience with SAP / ARIBA (source to pay)
  • Project Management experience with forecasting/budgeting
  • Track record of good business relationships and business value delivery; operating successfully in a matrixed IT environment; and leveraging supplier resources in an outsourced IT model
