Job Description for Technical Product Manager

This position is part of our Connected Services segment and is located in Kraków, Poland.

Aptiv is seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our Connected Services team. You will be focused on our Fleet Insights product which provides value to fleet customers through vehicle health, fuel efficiency, safety, etc. analytics dashboards.

Your Role as the Fleet Insights Technical Product Manager:

• Combine market trends, customer needs and product vision into a detailed description of what to build and convey that vision to the rest of the development team

• Be the main point of contact to our internal and external customers, guide them through development lifecycle, and discuss on daily basis their detailed requirements, propose when they are not sure, and manage your product

• Work with software engineering teams to prioritize tasks, estimate timing and plan sprint content

• Work with program management and project management to track the implementation of software features and ensure milestones are met

• Develop structured test plans for verification of prototype software applications

• Triage, root cause and resolve issues in cloud-based services, APIs and web-based engineering tools

• Conduct engineering tests and coordinate software POCs to analyze the feasibility and applicability of proposed software solutions

• Continue to stay current in training in the latest automotive systems technology

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a Science, IT or Engineering Discipline.

• Experience producing requirements documentation, use cases, user stories and other artifacts preferably in the vehicle telematics or data analytics space

• Very good leadership skillset, prioritization of work and communication with external stakeholders

• Experience as a business analyst or in technical product leadership role

• Strong written and oral communication skills – fluent English skills (C1)

• Proven ability to meet commitments and deliver to strict timelines

• Strong desire to learn new things, and ability to perform independent product and market research

• Independent problem-solving ability

• Experience working with remote teams

• Experience with agile software development process

• Passionate for technology, software, and data.

What will make you stand out:

• Work within the automotive industry, connected vehicles and vehicle diagnostics

• Data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting experience including data visualization

• Cloud services, API design, data storage and analysis, and web application / user experience design

• Experience working with external partners for program success

• Experience with full-stack data visualization applications

• Familiarity with cloud-based software architectures from Azure, AWS or GCP

• Experience with CI/CD workflows

• Experience leading multi-site, global teams
